Hair by Maddie O.
Hair by Maddie O is a stylist based in Southern Minnesota. She is recently transitioning to running her own booth in a salon and wanted a new identity for herself.
She came to me with the task of creating her an identity, that was both playful and energetic, but still professional and approachable to new clients. The focal point in the logo is the color gradient going from the stylized scissors to the type. Using primarily one bright color and neutrals to contrast the print design the viewers attention is caught with the stylized icon and guides the viewer through the work. Using a more handwritten/calligraphic typeface conveys the playfulness of the stylist and is paired with a more conventional typeface to get important information across.
